01

Quantum State

A quantum state contains the information required to predict probabilities for measurements. States are represented mathematically in a Hilbert space.

02

Schrödinger Equation

iℏ ∂|ψ⟩/∂t = H|ψ⟩

The Schrödinger equation governs the time evolution of quantum states in nonrelativistic quantum mechanics.

03

Uncertainty

Δx Δp ≥ ℏ/2

The uncertainty relation is a mathematical consequence of noncommuting quantum observables and is not simply a statement about imperfect measurement instruments.

04

Entanglement

Entanglement describes quantum states of composite systems that cannot be represented as independent states of their components.
