01

Simple Harmonic Motion

x(t) = A cos(ωt + φ)
ω = √(k/m)

The ideal mass-spring oscillator provides a canonical example of periodic motion.

02

Wave Equation

∂²ψ/∂t² = v²∇²ψ

The wave equation describes propagation phenomena across many physical systems, including mechanical and electromagnetic waves.

03

Resonance

Resonance occurs when periodic driving interacts strongly with a system near one of its natural frequencies. Real systems include damping, which limits amplitude growth.
